Hey cuties,
So as you can see, once again life has gotten in the way of blogging. But I have lots planned - a Benefit review, a little giveaway, updates from some of my travels (New York and Pennsylvania, y'all!) and a ton more reviews.
Stay tuned!
Yours,
Crumble x
A much-needed place for me, Crumble, to rant, rave and review to my heart's content. Enjoy!

Update - November 2015
Heya!
So, I thought I'd do another little life update to let people know that I am, indeed, still alive and well. So, what's new with me?
Well, we're almost gotten to the end of Semester 1 (we're almost there!) - and at the end of the semester myself and one of my friends are headed to Amsterdam, baby! Four days, and I have soooo many things I want to do there! The Van Gogh gallery, the Edvard Munch exhibit, go to a show or two in the Red Light District, do a canal tour, and of course I'll have to try the Coffeeshops :P
In other news, I'm actually getting a little less insane! So that's a step in the right direction!
I'm doing fine though, I'll get through all this as long as I constantly distract myself with writing and travelling and whatnot :P
I just got back from Galway yesterday - I had a four day holiday from Dublin down there, so, I tried out the Beer Garden (how could I resist), I went to four exhibitions from the TULCA visual arts festival, and spent my nights in Electric and Roisin Dubh :P
Anywho,
Till next time, Adios!

Crumble's October Diary
![]() |
| My incredible editing skills here xD |
It's almost halloween (as you can tell from my amazing editing skills above :P) and I thought I should move away from reviews for a minute and do a diary-kinda thing, it is something I kinda currently need! So, updates from my boring ol' life - here goes :P
15th October - 11pm
I won a €100 voucher for House of Fraser! (Trust me to win a voucher for a department store I couldn't even afford anything in, even with the voucher!) But, this is still an amazing prize, and MAC and Benefit are there, I'm sure you'll see many pictures soon of the makeup I don't need appearing in an upcoming post :P
In other news, I'm going home for the weekend, first time in aaaaages! I can't wait to see my Panda-Bear! xD
16th October - 5pm
Going to the Blanchardstown Student Event tonight, even though I'm broke XD Either way, I want to see all the discounts and weep.
16th October - 10pm
Blanch was great, but didn't buy anything just yet (#justgrantproblems) Buuuutt, I did find a new pair of Nike Janoski's and some topshop jeans I'm setting my sites on.
18th October - 4:17am
Just finished the last episode of Life Is Strange, a very strange game indeed.. never heard of it? Not as cool as dear Crumble? Click here :P It was a great game, and needless to say, I'm sad to see it go - I'm getting addicted to butterfly effect games where multiple endings and storylines are available depending on your choices :O
20th October - 7pm.
Bought the new Topshop Joni jeans (want a pair? Link here!)
They're sooo comfy and suuuuper high-waisted to keep my ever-expanding stomach in check :P
25th October - 3:15pm
Currently lounging about in my new jeans and wondering what to dress up as on Wednesday - I'm going to the DCUSU Halloween ball and I'm struggling with a costume. Scary or sexy? I've never gone with the sexy option but now seems to be the time! Catwoman? Just ears and a dress? Zombie makeup? Who knows..Gahh! Any help? I'll post up a picture with whatever I decide upon anyways.
Anywho!
Adios,

My Month In Blurry Photos.
Hello whomever may accidentally come across this and read it - (I knoooow I've lost all subs at this stage, I haven't written properly in ages!)
How is everyone? Update; My life fell apart for the first couple of weeks of college, if I'm honest. I've been depressed, stress-eating, and become increasingly stressy. BUT, things are improving, bit by bit, day by day. I'm newly single ( Do not dare ask me about men right now, I will go on an endless, tiring rant) and actually dealing with it alright. Aviation Management is tough, the work is tough, but I'm liking the challenge, and the experience of college is worth any amount of hard elbow-grease.
So, here is my first, easy post of the semester - my month in terribly out-of-focus photos. Enjoy!
And Adios!

Artsy Fartsy Revenge and Redemption.
In the wake of my post-leaving cert Art blues (In reality, I should have reeeeally expected it, I mean, the theory exam was a disaster from start to finish xD) - I took it upon myself to reassure myself I'm not a failure at one of the few things I enjoy - art - by painting and drawing as much as possible in a slightly "I will avenge you father!" sort of way and here is the result. Enjoy! :P

I'm So Lazy
Hello, whoever may be reading this! My god, I'm sorry, I do the same thing over and over again - I get into blogging, I start to build up followers, I get better at posting... And then I just suddenly stop for about a year, lose all my followers and skills, etc. Self-destruction is a bitch, huh?
Anyways, I've decided to just post a text post today for updates! Leaving Cert results are tomorrow. *screams internally* AARRRGHHHHH. I am indeed, TERRIFIED. Who knows, maybe I'll surprise myself and get amazing points I totally don't deserve. Or maybe I'll end up in tears tomorrow night downing my tenth shot. WHO KNOWS. So, I've decided to distract myself by writing here, and telling y'all that I will actually have posts up soon, I'm just a lazy fucker and it's taken me a whole year to motivate myself again. Who knows, maybe I'll make this a more common habit in college next year!
Anywho,

And A Happy New Something To You Too :P
Will I say it,the sentence the whole world and their wives seem to bark like a reflex at this time of year..?
Okay, I'll go for it - HAPPY NEW YEAR >.<
Okay, I'll go for it - HAPPY NEW YEAR >.<
I'm not the type of person to make New Year's resolutions (who wants to go on a diet the week after Christmas? Nobody, that's who - at leeeast wait until everyone goes back to work/school/routine!), but this year I have decided to make a list (it started out as a solely mental list, but what the hay..) of things I want to accomplish/start/finish/try harder at this year :D
1. I will take up new activities.
Starting this month, I will take up (and hopefully not suck at) Yoga - this is my attempt (did I say attempt? I meant my definite way of!) at getting fit. I'm also starting Sewing & Craft classes at PippaBlue in Galway - I'm gonna pick something, like a quilt or dress, and design it and work my little fingers off making it (I swear I will finish it!)

2. I will take my dog out for more walks.
This one shouldn't be tough, but IT IS! I could just open the front door and she'll walk herself! But no, I have to walk her, it's what best for us both (even if it's wet and cold and miserable outside and I'm kinda tried and oooh but there are Friends re-runs to be watched...) I WILL WALK THAT DOG.

3. I will focus on the positive.
It may be incredibly cheesy and whatnot but it has to be said - I will focus on all the amazingly-awesome-fantastical things that happen to me this year. A friend suggested that I get a cute jar and every time something good happens in my life, even if it's as small as going to the cinema with a friend, or having a nice lunch, or painting a nice picture, I will write it down on a small scrap of paper and put it in the jar... and I think it's an adorable, great idea. I promise I shall do it.

4. I will start dressing the way I want.
I don't care if spotty tights and a dress spotted with white ducks is 'too much pattern'. My socks with lace on them are not ridiculous.(And they are adorable with my new ankle boots.) I don't care if I'm wearing 'too many' big jumpers (you can never have enough big knitted jumpers, by the way.). I really do not care about anything anyone thinks ever about the way I dress unless it can result in my reply being "Oh,really? This old thing? Nawww, thanks, it is nice, isn't it?"

A blurry picture of adorable-and-definitely-not-ridiculous-because-they-are-just-cute-dammit lace socks and ankle boots is below ^_^
And to the person who once said 'The best revenge is dressing well.' I salute you.
(Wait, that was meant to be 'The best revenge is living well?' Oh. How about that.)

My Best (confusing and constantly hungry) Friend.
Okay guys, this one's gonna be a weird one...
But something has been on my mind recently, and you know me - once something is stuck in there I'll have to post about it (unspoken rule. Because I'm a woman and we are just allowed to have unspoken rules.(It's another unspoken rule.))
What do animals think of us? I couldn't help but wonder this whilst alone with my puppy, Panda. She choose to sit directly in front of me, and continuously look me in the eyes and turn her head at a 45° angle. This is at a time where she has been fed, she has gone to the bathroom, she has water, her bed is there...
'WHAT DO YOU WANT FROM ME? JUST TELL ME!' I want to scream. (Okaaay, maybe I did say it a little) but she just stares.
I was reduced to hissing 'Freeeeaak' at my puppy.
Soooo, as a result, I wound up wondering what animals (specially dogs) must think about us humans :D
Now, apart from our little confusing incident (that WAS the only time I've called her a freak, I SWEAR.) Panda and I usually communicate beautifully, she seems to judge my facial expression and body language almost perfectly - if I look angry she'll back off (or hide under the counter), if I'm upset or hurt she'll lick me and console, if I'm happy she's happy (possibly because she knows there's a higher chance of getting FOOD).
But is that all it is? The desire to get more food? Is the whole man's-best-friend thing a huge big lie,a scam to get food off of us? Or is she reeeally feeling empathy, does she really want to comfort me? (Who wouldn't wanna comfort me? I'm awesome :P)
When Panda looks into my eyes (and I mean like proper look-how-deep-this-is-we're-like-gazing-into-eachothers-eyes-okay-you-can-stop-now-it's-getting-kinda-weird eye contact) I don't believe it's anything less than love. You can just tell she loves me (and, I'm sure...other humans too,I suppose. Cheater.)
My darling Panda-Bear (this was the only picture she wasn't chewing something or had mud on her)
(See that loving gaze? It's not just because I was eating biscuits at the time...well,maybe that was a fraction of it but she LOVES ME,dammit.)
Anywhoo... >.<
P.S. Subscribe to me by email! :D (don't you want to have me in your life? Don'tcha? :P)

A Rant Is In Order (Sorry guys)
Okay, although I'm a very easy-going, cool, got-it-together, laid back kinda girl (pppssssshhhh - yeah right), every now and then there are some things that reeeally annoy me in life (some things also annoy you, you say? It's human, you say! Relax and have some chocolate, you say!) Thanks for the chocolate, but I really do feel a little rant is in need here.
So, here goes nothing:
1. The 'k' message.
Ohhhh, you can make the effort to reply but not with an actual word? C'mon people, you used to be cool!
It's an effective conversation-destroyer, but even more annoying when it wasn't actually done to ruin all further chat - when someone doesn't realise it....grrrr.....
Usually the 'k' message proceeds a multi-page text from me.
Again, grrrrrr.....
2. When people don't check the pockets before putting something in the washing machine.
Okay, forget jewellery, that fifty note, that chocolate wrapper you had the other day and stuffed-in-your-pocket-because-your-mother-will-give-that-look-like-"Why? Why would you eat that?" and you'll feel guilty the rest of the day.
No, just me? Alright, moving along. Forget all those things -it's tissues. Leaving a tissue in your pocket and putting it in the washing machine. Mmmmh hmmmmm. I'll let it speak for itself.
3. People who seem to have their phone turned off constantly.
Why? You realise what a phone's primary function is, yes?
And you've charged it,yes? Good.
SO WHY IS IT TURNED OFF WHEN I TRY TO CONTACT YOU?
4. Memes (The one above is simply because I found one that fits for this point and the last one! I'm not a hypocrite.. Stop looking at me like that! What do you mean I'm sweating like crazy? Stop putting me on the spot!)
Let me make myself clear - some memes are very funny. I still happen to giggle at one with a pug and a tennis ball. Ahhh...good times...
But, now we seem to have an epidemic on our hands - it seems like hundreds of memes pop up for every single event that could be even slightly funny (and a loooot aren't at all )
But I get it, it's a trend, blah blah blah (*sighs, exasperated with the world*)
5. Misspellings.
(I'm not a nerd, I'm not a nerd..)
Look, I'm not just talking about in a text, when your friend replies to your anecdote with ROFL. (Reeeally? I thought we were done with that, guys!) Though incredibly hard-to-read-because-you-chose-to-make-every-word-'cutesy' (when I was younger I vividly remember replacing 'Lol' with 'Lawl', and 'my' with 'mai'. Seriously, I did. It makes me criiinge now! I have a perfectly good working keyboard! I have predictive and spell-check! Oh,the pain..
Misspellings on reeeally important things. Like a tattoo. A resume. I've seen people misspell the title of exam they were taking (Business, by the way. Business.)
Oh, there he is :D
A little late.. But...
*giggles*
*snorts*
*look up,embarrassed.*
Anywhoo... >.<
...Sorry about the rant, guys :P
P.s. Subscribe by email up there above the list of posts :D
The Common Garden Variations Of Relationship
I'm a ridiculous person. People who know me well all know that about me,whether they say it to my face or not.
I think I prefer when they don't say anything at all.And I've also always liked to think of myself as a realist, but in light of recent personal breakthroughs, I've come to the conclusion that I'm not a realist,I'm just like all other females on this earth -
I'm obsessed with the notion of Love.
As said by William Shakespeare; "Love asks me no questions, And gives me endless support.".
A couple of arguments about this one quote, out of millions,on the subject of love -
Love poses more questions than any other subject in the world!
Such as " what do you mean, you don't know how your day was?!" Or ' How could he do that to me?'
Or my favourite, 'Does he/she reeeally love me?'
I have recently been broken up with, and as with all break-ups, excessive reflection on relationships always follows, it's just a given.
So, what have I learnt about relationships from this break-up?
I have learnt that men and women view the need to talk very differently.
In my experience, men usually use communication as a tool, as something to use in order to gain something, or to show superiority over others, for use when is necessary.
Women usually talk in order to bond, to receive sympathy, to feel cared for, for support, to increase friendship.
Example 1 - Ana and her husband Dan are driving. She asks 'Hey, do you want to stop by that cafe we like and get coffee?'
He answers 'No, not really' truthfully.
Ana suddenly feels quite angry. How could he just say no without even caring what I want? Why wouldn't he consider what I want? If he reeeally loved me....' Etc, etc.
Dan can tell she is angry - and he gets very annoyed. She asked him whether he wanted to go, and he was honest, what more can he do? Why won't she just make her intentions clear? If she reeeally loved me...' Etc, etc.
Example 2 - Ana and Dan are home, when Ana starts complaining about an annoying woman at work who tends to spread rumours and cause quite immature fights. This isn't the first time she complains, and Dan calmly replies that she should just confront her, and that her problem would go away if she just faced it straight on.
Ana is suddenly very annoyed, and Dan has no idea why - he's just provided a solution to her answer, so she won't have to complain anymore!
Again, it comes down to how we view our communication - Ana viewed his reply as him telling her she couldn't deal with the problem herself, that she couldn't think of a solution, that he is patronizing her.
When men have a problem, they tend to talk about it less, because they want to think of an answer themselves, generally, and don't want to appear weak.
When women have a problem, they like to complain, to vent, and know somebody is listening and sympathising.
When neither sex understands why the other doesn't understand, it causes friction, and often fights ensue.
When women and men have such different perspectives on things, its quite easy to see how fights begin - and quite hard to believe we continue to co-exist :L
Anywhoo.. >.<
